A child lights up a house, the sounds of giggling, bare feet running across the room. My life changed on April 3, 2019; a boy was born nine pounds and three ounces. This little human was the start of a long story his mother and I had started in elementary school. Love had found us at the right time of our lives, and our child had come at the perfect moment. Becoming a parent has been the most challenging thing I have faced in my life, a feeling many new parents know very well. Together we held our child in a low, dimmed hospital bed. We looked at one another, knowing we were forever cemented through the pounding heart of this new life. Life is so simple, so incredible, and so vulnerable. These images are of personal experience, becoming a father.
